On 12 Sept 1918, he registered as John Murrell Bodine, in Trenton, New Jersey, for the World War I draft. Merrill Bodine, age 20 and single, was living 1920 with his parents in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey employed as an apprentice carpenter. In 1930, as Jack M. Bodine, age 28 and single, he was living with his mother in Trenton, now working as a carpenter in building construction. His death, as John Bodine, was reported to the Social Security Administration.

John M. Bodine, 80, of 63 Florence Avenue, Ewing Township, died Friday in Morris Hall Rehabilitation Center, Lawrence Township. Born in Furlong, Pa., he was a retired booster station attendant for the Trenton Waterworks. He was a member of Mercer Lodge 50 F&AM, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and Ewing Township Seniors Club A. He is survived by his wife, Carrie B. Bodine, a daughter, Mrs. Donald Waters of Pennington; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Andrew Pessolano of Ewing Township, and Mrs. Clinton Jobes of Bordentown; a stepson, Glenn O. Smith of Yardville; a brother, Emmor A. Bodine of Ewing Township; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Wilson Home for Funerals, Pennington Circle, Pennington, with the Rev. David D. Prince of the First Presbyterian Church of Ewing officiating. Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held at 8 tonight. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 88 Lakedale Drive, Trenton, N.J.

EWING--Carrie Mae Blatchford Bodine, 83, died Wednesday at Delaware Valley Hospital in Langehorne, Pa. Born in Cambridge, Mass., Mrs. Bodine was a lifelong Ewing area resident. She retired after many years as a cashier for the former ShopRite on Olden Avenue, Trenton. She was a member of Ashler Chapter No. 169, Order of Eastern Star, Pennington and the Live Wires Senior Citizen Group B of Ewing. Daughter of the late Walter and Grace Keogh Blatchford and wife of the late John M. Bodine she is survived by a son, Glenn Smith Sr. of Trenton; five daughters, Marjorie M. Pessolano of Trenton, Virginia Jobes, Loretta Carter and Yvonne Pavlov, all of Bordentown and Judith Waters of Yardley, Pa.; a brother, Arthur Blatchford of Toms River; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle, Pennington. The Rev. David Prince, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Ewing, will officiate. Burial will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours are 10 a.m. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Foundation, P.O.
