Emmor Bodine served in the U.S. Navy during World War I as a chief plumber and steamfitter. Emmor Bodine, age 22 and single, was living 1920 with his parents in Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey employed as a plumber. The marriage of Emmor Bodine and Florence Evelyn Cochran, daughter of John Cochran of Trenton, was reported in the Trenton "Evening Times" of 11 Dec 1920. In 1930, he was recorded as Elmer A. Bodine, age 32, working as a plumber in Trenton. In May 1944, he assumed his duties as Chief Plumbing Inspector for Trenton, a position he still held in Sept 1962.

EWING TWP.---Funeral services for Florence E. Bodine, 83, of here, who died Wednesday at Bellevue Care Center, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert J. Williams, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Born in Bordentown, she was a Trenton resident for 80 years, and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Emmor A. Bodine; a daughter, Dorothy Sherrard of Woodbridge; a son, Edward A. of Ewing Township; a sister, Gertrude Walters of Ewing Township; five grandchildren, Marcia J. Sherrard of Oceanside, Richard B. Firman, Loreta S. Firman, Scott R. Bodine, and Brian E. Bodine. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church, 503 W. State St., Trenton. Arrangements are under the direction of Ivins and Taylor Funeral Home.

EWING--Emmor A. Bodine, 88, of Ewing Township, died Sunday in Mercer Medical Center. Born in Furlong, Pa., Mr. Bodine lived in Trenton for 68 years before moving to Ewing Township 20 years ago. He retired in 1968 from the city of Trenton as chief plumbing inspector, after 24 years. He served as a plumbing instructor at the Trenton Evening Vocational School for 12 years and was a member of Local No. 236, United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of the Plumbing & Pipefitting Industry, for 49 years. He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 93 and St. Paul's Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Naval Reserve. Son of the late Arthur and Laura Bodine and husband of the late Florence Cochran Bodine he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward A. and Elaine Bodine of Ewing Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and James Sherrard of Woodbridge; five grandchildren, Maria Sherrard of Gaithersburg, Md., Loretta Rinek of Plainsboro, Richard Firman of Marietta, Ga., and Scott and Brian Bodine, both of Ewing Township; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held noon Wednesday from the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Ave. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Methodist Church, West State Street, with the Rev. Sandra Lee Murphy, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
