Amos Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in Bucks County. He stated he worked as a farm laborer for his father. In April 1930, Amos Bodine, age 43 and single, worked as a farm laborer for Lafayette Worthington in Washington Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Trenton, Mercer County. He never married.

Amos Bodine, 87, of the Joseph Abbot Apartments on Hoffman Avenue, died Sunday morning at the Bellevue Care Center following a lengthy illness. Born in Pineville, Pa., he resided in the Trenton-Morrisville area for the past 60 years. He was a retired employee of the Cook Pottery Company in Trenton. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Cynthia Wells of New Hope, Pa. and Mrs. Edith Degg of Lawrenceville; two brothers, Elbert of Langhorne, Pa. and Frank of Morrisville; and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be Tuesday morning at the Rogers Funeral Home in Trenton. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
