Scott Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 12 Sept 1918 as a resident of Harbourton, Mercer County, New Jersey. In April 1930, Samuel Bodine, age 30 and single, was living with his mother and stepfather in West Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, employed as a laborer in a stone quarry. On 10 Sept 1942, he enlisted in the U.S. Army at Newark, New Jersey. He stated he was single and employed as a jackhammer operator.

LAMBERTVILLE---Samuel Bodine, 64, of Brunswick Avenue died Thursday in Trenton. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He is survived by two brothers, John of Trenton and Lorenzo of Buckingham, Pa.; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Sharp of Lambertville. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. from the Van Horn Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow after 12 noon.
