He met his wife in Medellín, Columbia, South America on April 11, 1980. After two trips and two years of courtship, Beatriz packed her belongings and came to the USA. She and Randy were married at his father's home.

Randy Bodine of Lampasas, Texas, passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 73. Randy was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and nephew. He was born on June 30, 1950, in Colorado City, Texas to Ed and Jeanine Stubblefield Bodine. He spent his childhood years growing up in West Texas towns-Colorado City, Midland, and Abilene. He graduated from Cooper High School in Abilene in 1968 and later graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He married Beatriz Guevara on December 31, 1982, in Colorado City. They were married for eighteen years. To this union were born two children: Edwin Alexander on May 7, 1991, and Maria Jeanine on November 26, 1992. As a family they lived in Alabama and Texas and in Columbia, South America during the children's growing up years. Randy was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. During Randy's young adult years, he lived in several different states and had several different jobs including being a salesman, making woodwork projects, working for the Texas Employment Commission, and being a waiter. He finalized his career by working for the State of Texas Prison System for twenty years and received recognition for that milestone. Randy was athletic as a child and teenager and loved watching sports throughout his life. He followed politics very closely. He liked watching movies. He loved cats, especially the many he claimed as pets the last few years of his life in the country near Lampasas. As a man of faith, he loved the Lord, read his Bible often and often watched religious programming on television. Earlier in life he went on mission trips and helped to establish a church in Columbia. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Jeanine Bodine. He is survived by his son Alex Bodine and his wife Gabi of Angleton, Texas, and by his daughter Jeanine Evers and her husband Kendal. He is survived by a brother Gary Bodine and his wife Brenda of Edmond, Oklahoma, and a sister Jena Thomas of Hutto, Texas. He is also survived by three grandsons (Noah and Elijah Ramirez and Bret Evers) and one granddaughter (Everleigh Evers). He is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends. Memorial gifts may be given to Lampasas Community Cat TNR in Lampasas, Life Outreach, Gospel for Asia, Christ for All the Nations, Maoz Israel or World Challenge.
