From Ronny Bodine:

Obituary, The Galveston County Daily News (Galveston, Texas) of 28 March 2015.
Robbie June (Bodine) Remmers of Santa Fe, Texas departed this life at age 84 to be with her loving Lord and Savior on March 27, 2015. She was born in Electra, Texas on March 11, 1931 to Eugene and Mary Bodine. She is survived by her loving husband Galen H. Remmers, Jr. of Santa Fe, Texas, to whom she was married for sixty-five years. She is also survived by her son, Galen H. Remmers, III and his wife Janet; her daughter, Sandra (Remmers) Hofstatter and her husband Robert; her grandchildren Meghan (Remmers) Gindrup and her husband David; Nathan D. Remmers; Lt. David A. Remmers and his fiancé JeriAnne Weis; and Samuel R. Remmers. Her other surviving relatives include her sister, Kay Outland and her husband James; brother Stephen Bodine and his wife Cynthia; sister Pamela Carter, sister-in-law Sally Marx, sister-in-law Jeanne Bodine, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary, father Eugene, step-mother, Kittie Bodine, father-in-law Galen H. Remmers, Sr., mother-in-law Lena Remmers, brother H.M. "Bud" Bodine, brother-in-law Robert L. Marx, nephew Ken Bodine, and niece Rhonda Marx. Robbie was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and was a life-long homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took great joy in giving gifts and sending cards to those she loved. As a "crafty" person, she enjoyed learning new things and improving her skills, whether it be needlework or mastering the art of using a glue gun. She was a talented seamstress who made most of her own clothing and delighted in designing and sewing matching mother-daughter outfits, doll clothes, decorative pillows, curtains, and bedspreads - all with the greatest of ease. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alta Loma, Texas for over sixty-five years, and dedicated her life to the service of her Lord and the church. She acted as Church Librarian for many decades, taught 4th grade girls' Sunday School, was an active member of the Women's Missionary Union, sang in the choir, was Director of Vacation Bible School many summers, and a "prayer warrior" on the church's prayer chain. She took much pleasure in the fellowship of her church friends, but especially enjoyed Bible studies, the "Mug and Muffin Drop In," and ladies' teas. She also enjoyed preparing food and gift boxes and delivering them to church members who were unable to get out and about. Visitation will be held at Hayes Funeral Home at 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church of Alta Loma located at 5400 FM 646 South, Santa Fe, Texas on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., Pastor John Newton officiating. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Library Fund of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma or a charity of your choice.

Children: Galen Henry III (1953), Sandra Elizabeth (1958).
