Burychka, Morris. A retired U.S. Postal Service letter carrier with 30 years of service, he died at his residence in Denham Springs. He was 79 and a native of Philadelphia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting was held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Tommy Winders. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by wife, Billie Bodine Burychka, Denham Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and John Diez Jr., Denham Springs; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Erett Burychka, Baton Rouge, and Bill and Rachel Burychka, Houston; a brother, John Burychka, Philadelphia; and seven grandchildren, Amy, Daren, Ashley, Ryan, Christy, Tiffany and Christopher. He was a member of American Legion Nicholson Post No. 38 and National Association of Letter Carriers

Burychka, Billie Louise Bodine. A secretary for the Arthritis Foundation and a resident of Denham Springs, she died at 7:08 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 78 and a native of Stapp, Okla. Visiting was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 3, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Denham Springs, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, celebrated by the Rev. Cleo Milano. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and John Diez Jr., Denham Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Rachel Burychka, Houston, and Jim and Erett Burychka, Prairieville; seven grandchildren, Christy McMorris, Tiffany Pierson, Christopher Diez, Darren Burychka and wife Tiffanie, Ashley Burychka, Ryan Burychka and Amy Cerny and husband Mike; and a great-grandson, Anthony Burychka. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Burychka; parents, William and Anna Bodine; and a sister, Dorothy Hamilton. Pallbearers will be John Pierson, Christopher Diez, Darren Burychka, Ryan Burychka, John Diez Jr. and Paul Graham. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and VFW Post 4175 and Council on Aging.
