Leta Bodine Brieseacher, 79, of Evansville, formerly of Mount Vernon and Sparta, Ill., died at 10:55 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sparta and attended Oak Hill Baptist Church in Evansville. She had owned and operated a beauty salon for several years. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Stewart of Morton, Ill., and Connie Myers of Evansville; a son, Trent Ballard of Mount Vernon; a stepdaughter, Patty Jo Thomas of Sesser, Ill.; a stepson, Robert Brieseacher of Mount Vernon; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Raymond, died in 1991. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, with burial in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
