1st marriage--1927--WILLIAMS
The 1929 city directory of Mount Vernon lists Miss Helen Williams as a resident,

1930 Mount Vernon, Jefferson Co., IL: Glen HENLEY 31 IL electric engineer, Pearl 39 IL wife, Doy Leon 5/12 IL son, Helen WILLIAMS 20 IL stepdau. Helen married at age 17. But no husband named.


2nd marriage--about 1931--MILTON LEE FORD.
1940 Mount Vernon, Jefferson Co., IL: Pearl HENLEY 49 IL div, Day 10 IL son, Helen WILLIAMS 30 IL dau div

Although the census noted she was married, her husband was not evident. Milton Ford was killed instantly when he was run over by a heavily loaded truck while working on a paving project on Second and Broadway in Mount Vernon. The truck, loaded with sand cement for a big mixing machine was backing up and the driver did not see Mr. Ford. Helen and Milton Ford were buried in Williams Cemetery, Mount Vernon.

Funeral services for Milton Lee Ford, 62, who was instantly killed in an accident while working on the east Broadway paving job yesterday, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Free Will Baptist church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Oran Kersh will officiate, and burial will be in Williams cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. today. Mr. Ford was killed when he was run over by a truck driven by Melvin Brown, 42, of Centralia. Both Ford and Brown were working on the paving job.

MT. VERNON--HELEN MARIE FORD, 72, died 7:44 a.m. Friday, Good Samaritan Hospital. Survivors: A brother, Doy Henley of Orange, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Kleeta Francis of Mt. Vernon and Frances Gilardi of Chicago; eight stepgrandchildren. Services 1:30 p.m. Monday, Hughey Funeral Home, burial Williams Cemetery. Visitation after 6 p.m. today.
