Jesse Bodine was living April 1930 with his parents in Decatur, Macon County and working as a truck driver for a coal and feed company. Jesse and Cleo Bodine were buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, Macon County.

Jesse J. Bodine, 51, of 4312 E. Cleveland Ave., died at 8:25 a.m. yesterday in Kirby Memorial Hospital, Monticello. While in Monticello Tuesday, Mr. Bodine became ill and was taken to Kirby Hospital. A member of Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local 65, Mr. Bodine had been employed as a refrigeration man for the University of Illinois. His wife operates a frozen custard shop in Monticello. A resident of Decatur for 47 years coming here from Mount Vernon, Mr. Bodine was born May 9, 1911, in Mount Vernon, a son of Thomas and Lola Stokes Bodine. He married Cleo Curtis Aug. 5, 1933, in Maroa. Besides his wife, survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Carol) Goff and Sharon Bodine, and two sons, Larry and Richard, all of Decatur, and six grandchildren. The body is in the J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home where arrangements are incomplete. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery.

DECATUR -- Mrs. Jesse J. (Cleo L. Curtis) Bodine, 78, of Decatur, died 6:30 a.m. Thursday (June 21, 1990) in McKinley Court. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Fairlawn Cemetery with visitation one hour before services Saturday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home. Mrs. Bodine was born in Decatur, daughter of Rufus and Nancy Frances Matchett Curtis. She was a homemaker. She married Jesse J. Bodine Aug. 5, 1933, in Maroa. He preceded in death June 13, 1962. Surviving are her sons, Richard Lee and Larry Lynn, both of Decatur; daughters, Carole Goff and Sharon Kay Skowronski, both of Decatur; sister, Florence Jackson of Nice, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
