DECATUR -Woodrow W. Waller, 77, of Decatur died 8:40 p.m. Monday (March 18, 1991) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home, with visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Mr. Waller was born in Boody, son of Henry and Josephine Parmenter Waller. He was a retired machine operator with A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. and was a member of Hillside Bethel Tabernacle Church. He married Lora Bodine in 1936 in Decatur. Surviving are his wife; sons, Roger “Joe” Waller, Ronald "Skeet" Waller and Timothy Mark Waller, all of Decatur; Rodney (Tony) Waller of Salem, Va.; Stephen Waller of Macon; daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Delores) Fisher of Decatur; Mrs. Jacinto (Doris) Moses of Murrieta, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter and one brother preceded him in death.

DECATUR - Lora Ellen Waller 89, of Goodyear, Arizona, formerly of Decatur, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 in Goodyear. Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon Saturday, December 18, 2004, in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2 hours before services in the funeral home. Burial with "Flight Home" ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Downs Syndrome Foundation or donor's choice. Condolences may also be sent to the family online at www.gracelandfairlawn.com. Lora was born July 9, 1915, in Kansas Station, Illinois, the daughter of James David and Sylvia (Kite) Bodine. She was a graduate of Decatur High School and seamstress for the Decatur Garment Factory. She married Woodrow W. Waller January 18, 1936 in Decatur, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1991. Surviving are her children: Woodrow R. "Joe" Waller and wife Mary; Ronald G. "Skeet" Waller and wife Carolyn; Stephen R. Waller and wife Peggy; Timothy Mark Waller, all of Decatur; Doris Moses and husband Jacinto of Goodyear, Az., Rodney D. "Tony" Waller and wife Susan of Silver Springs, Maryland; Delores E. Fisher and husband Jerry of Punta Gordo, Fl; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren as well as brother Richard Bodine and wife Dorothy of Mount Zion. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sylvia Bodine; husband Woodrow; son, Joseph David; daughter, Joyce Evelyn; one granddaughter, Terri Lynn; and one great-granddaughter. Her family was her life, and her love, devotion, and kindness will never be forgotten. She was always there when we needed her. We will treasure our memories, and she will live on in our hearts forever. Obituary written by family members.
