Louisa Irene Bodine was bapt. 6 Dec 1863 at the Port Richmond Dutch Reformed Church as the daughter of John Bodine and ---- Johnson. In July 1880, aged 16, she was living with her mother in Castleton, Richmond County. In Jan 1920, Benjamin and Louise Smith lived in Chicago where Benjamin was the proprietor of a fruit store. Living with them was Louise's sister Ann Stursberg. On 1 April 1930, Benjamin Smith, now widowed and aged 85, lived in the household of his sister-in-law, Anne Stursberg. he died the next day.

Benj. F. Smith, 54 and Miss Louise I. Bodine, 36, both of Chicago, obtained a license to marry on 21 Jan 1901, but the marriage return was not recorded.
