The marriage of Miss Gertrude F. Cook, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Elmer P. Cook, of Germantown and Ocean City, to Mr. Harold F. Bodine, son of Mrs. Franklin I. Bodine, of the Cambridge, Germantown, and Ocean City, took place on Saturday, July 20, in Ocean City. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Milton H. Nichols, pastor of the Arch Street Methodist Church.
Harold and Gertrude Bodine were buried in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

Harold Fort Bodine, of 3201 Bayland Dr. died Thursday in Shore Memorial Hospital. He was 70. He formerly was a teacher at Chestnut Hill (Pa.) Academy and Germantown (Pa.) Academy and the Phelps School in Malvern, Pa. Mr. Bodine was a member of Arch Street United Methodist Church, Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Germantown Friends School and Haverford College and had a master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Ocean City Yacht Club, the Shuffleboard Club and the Greate Bay Country Club, Somers Point. Formerly of Bala Cynwyd, Pa., he moved to this city five years ago. Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Cook Bodine; a son, James Fort Bodine of Lafayette Hills, Pa.; and two daughters, Ethel Bodine Kent of Newtown Square, Pa., and Marjorie Bodine Widmann of Bryn Mawr, Pa. Services were held yesterday (Monday) at the Godfrey Funeral Home, 809 Central Av. Interment was in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 1807 New Road, Northfield, 08225.

BODINE, GERTRUDE COOK - of Ocean City. Loving wife of the late Harold F. Bodine of Chestnut Hill, PA. Her parents were Ruth and Elmer P. Cook of Germantown, PA. Gertrude was the dearly loved wife and friend and the mother of three children. She is survived by her son James F. Bodine and his wife Judy of Conshohocken, PA. Also daughters Ethel Kennedy of Moorestown, NJ, and Marjorie Elizabeth Widmann of Gladwyne, PA. She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Bender of Ocean City, and her son Henry Bender, Jr. and his wife Karen. Gertrude had seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She had been president of the Bala Cynwyd Women's Club in PA. She was active in church activities at the Margate Community Church and was especially active in the DorcusGuild. Gertrude was also active in The Research Club of Ocean City, NJ and was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Ocean City Yacht Club for many years and enjoyed playing bridge there. She was loved by many and she has many devoted friends over the years. Gertrude's Funeral Service was offered on Friday, February 5th from Margate Community Church, 8900 Ventnor Avenue, Margate, NJ. Burial was in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA.
