Notes for: Ruth Bushnell Bodine

Ruth Bodine, age 25 and single, was living with her mother in 1930 in Bennington, Bennington County, Vermont and employed as a teacher. She graduated with a B.S. degree from North Adams Normal School, now North Adams State College. She was Principal of Bennington Elementary School from 1942 to 1970. Upon her retirement she received a congratulatory letter and citation from President Nixon commending her for her dedication for so many years in the educational field. She never married.
