Miss Patricia Jane Laube, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard J. Laube, Vernon, was married to Danny Norman Bodine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman E. Bodine, Penn Yan, on Saturday, 17 Aug at the Laube home with Rev. Richard P. Stitt, pastor of Mr. Vernon Presbyterian Church, Vernon, officiating. Miss. Vicki Bodine, penn Yan, sister of the bridegroom, was the flower girl.

Patricia Laube Bodine, 71, of West Grove, formerly a longtime resident of Kennett Square, passed away on May 3 at Seasons Hospice in Christiana Hospital, Newark, Del. She was the wife of Pastor Danny N. Bodine , with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Born in Vernon, N.Y., she was the daughter of Marion Smith Laube and the late Willard Laube. Patricia received her bachelor's degree in education from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and her master's in education from West Chester University. She was retired from the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District, where she taught first grade at Pocopson Elementary School and formerly taught kindergarten, pre-first and first grades at Unionville Elementary School. She was a member of St Michael Lutheran Church in Unionville. She went to Central America on eight mission trips. She enjoyed children, hosting eight exchange students over the years. She also enjoyed spoiling her dogs and traveling. She is survived by her husband; mother; one son, Michael B. Bodine and his wife Amy of Leola; one daughter, Heather Wadas and her husband Mark of Shippensburg; four grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Moore of Sherrill, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 11 at St. Michael Lutheran Church (109 E. Doe Run Rd., Unionville), where friends and family may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be private. Danny (Dan) Norman Bodine, 76, formerly of Kennett Square PA, died on September 5, 2023. He was born May 18, 1947, in Penn Yan, NY to Norman and Virginia (Burg) Bodine. A Regents scholarship graduate of Penn Yan Academy with a lettering in both football and baseball, he attended Geneseo State College and earned a degree in marine biology. Dan joined the US Navy and served in the medical corps for six years. After his discharge, he worked in the medical technology field for a number of years while also serving as his church's youth group leader. Furthering his faith, he earned his Masters Degree in Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He served in the ministries of St. Peter's Lutheran Church (Chester Springs, PA), Community of Love Lutheran Church (Oxford, PA) and St. Michael Lutheran Church (Unionville, PA) until his retirement. Dan cared deeply for all living creatures, and he passionately shared the beauty and wonder of God's world with others. In his ministry, he was adept at conveying the word of God in engaging, creative ways with people of any age or culture and was a personal and professional mentor for many. Dan's world centered around his family, and he cherished time spent with them. He was proceeded in death by his parents and his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia (Laube) Bodine. He is survived by his children, Heather Wadas (Mark) and Michael Bodine (Qin Xiao); his grandchildren Marah, Gabriel, Peter, and Nathan; his sister, Victoria Bodine de Martinez (Juan Carlos), his brother- and sister-in-law, Pat and Jan Moore; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. They, and countless others that loved Dan, will miss his sense of humor, quick smile, and compassion. A Celebration of Life service is scheduled on September 23, 2023, at St Michael Lutheran Church, 109 E. Doe Run Rd, Unionville, PA. Family will receive guests at 9:30 a.m.; the service starts at 11:00 a.m. and is followed by a reception.
