Notes for: Rebecca King Bodine

The marriage of Thomas E. Borton and Miss Rebecca K. Bodine was reported in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 11 June 1890. The Borton family was living 1910 in Camden, Camden County where Thomas worked as a newspaper printer. Rebecca reported she had borne 2 children, but only 1 was then living. The "New Jersey Mirror" of 12 May 1920 published the following notice: "Thomas Borton, of Camden, but formerly of Mount Holly, and a graduate of The Mirror office many years ago, was calling on friends at his old home here on Friday. Mr. Borton who married the daughter of the late station master John W. Bodine, of the Camden terminal, also former residents of Mount Holly, holds a responsible position in the mechanical department of the Philadelphia Evening Ledger."
From Records of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Mount Holly, Burlington County:
Marriage on 4 June 1890 of Thomas Edwin Borton, 22 and Rebecca King Bodine, 24, at the residence of Jno. W. Bodine. Parents of the bride are John Wesley Bodine and Susanna W. King, of Mount Holly.
Rebecca King Borton, of Newark, N.J., died 27 Nov 1945 and was buried in SW Section, Lot 23, Grave 5, St. Andrew's Churchyard.
