In 1880, she appears as Nellie Bodine, age 14, living with her father and aunt Mary A. Sharp, in Trenton, Mercer County. In 1900, Mary Bodine, unmarried, was living with her aunt Mary A. Sharp in Trenton, where she worked as a school teacher. In 1930, Nellie Bodine, age 62 and single, lived in Trenton.

Burial rites for Miss Nellie Bodine, who died yesterday following a protracted illness, will be conducted tonight at 8 o'clock at the Home for Services, 408 Bellevue Avenue. Interment will be tomorrow morning in Mercer Cemetery. Poulson & Van Hise are in charge of arrangements. Miss Bodine had no immediate survivors.
