From Ronny Bodine:

George and Abigail Wallen were living 1870 with Abigail's brother Samuel Bodine and his wife in New London, New London County, Connecticut, where George worked in a machine shop. The couple was living 1880 on their own in New London, but had no children. In 1897, George Wallen remarried and was living in New London with his 2nd wife, Carrie and their 2 children.

When doing research, I found your web site. Abigail J. Bodine was married to George Wallen in (probably) 1869. George Wallen was my great grandfather, fought with the 21st Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War, and is buried beside Abby J. (Bodine) Wallen in Yantic Cemetery in Norwich, CT.

Thought you might be interested in the connection.

Dave,

Thank you for the quick reply. Although I have not been able to confirm with documentation, I believe George Wallen's father was Benjamin Wallen, buried at Nathan Hale Cemetery in Coventry, CT. I have found a reference located at the Connecticut State Library that I will need to visit to confirm and gather more details.
Best regards,
