Rev. Carlton Bodine was a Methodist minister and pastored at many churches in New Jersey including Memorial United Methodist Church of Neptune City, New Jersey from 1945 to 1949. He retired in 1974. After his retirement, he served at Friendship United Methodist Church in Monroeville and at Magnolia Road. He was the president of the Delanco Camp Meeting Association for 34 years. Evelyn Bodine was the daughter of Delbert and Alice (Crocker) Mickel. Carlton and Evelyn Bodine were buried in Friendship Cemetery, Monroeville, Salem County, New Jersey.

CARLTON W. BODINE SR., 87, of Tabernacle Township, died Wednesday in Millville. The Rev. Bodine was a Methodist minister and pastored at many churches in New Jersey. He retired in 1974. After his retirement, he served at Friendship United Methodist Church in Monroeville and at Magnolia Road. He was the president of the Delanco Camp Meeting Association for 34 years. The Rev. Bodine was born in Mickleton. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn; a son, Carlton Jr. of Millville; a daughter, Delle Zelinsky of Glassboro; a sister, Emma Edwards of Mantua; and four grandchildren. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Second United Methodist Church, Church and McNeal streets, Millville, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Monroeville. Arrangements are by the Smith Funeral Home, Mantua. Donations may be made to the Delanco Camp Meeting Association, 171 Sooy Road, Tabernacle 08088.

MINISTER'S WIFE, 84 Evelyn Mickel Bodine, 84, active in the United Methodist Church and the wife of a minister, died Monday at Kennedy Memorial Hospitals-University Medical Center/Washington Township. A Tabernacle resident, she was born in Aldine, Salem County, and was a graduate of Woodstown High School. Mrs. Bodine and her husband, the Rev. Carlton W. Bodine Sr., served many New Jersey churches, including those in Bridgeton and Centre Grove, Cumberland County; Monroeville, Deepwater, Auburn, and Friendship, Salem County; Pitman and Porchtown, Gloucester County; Delanco in Burlington County, and Collingswood in Camden County. Her husband died before her. A resident of Delanco Camp in Tabernacle for the last 25 years, Mrs. Bodine was active in the Delanco Camp Meeting Association, in which she was known as ''Mom Bodine.'' She was a former elementary schoolteacher and a 1934 graduate of Glassboro Normal School, now Rowan University. She is survived by a son, the Rev. Carlton W. Jr.; a daughter, V. Delle Zelinsky; four grandchildren; and three sisters. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Saturday at the Second United Methodist Church, Church and Neal Streets, Millville, where funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Monroeville, Salem County.
