The marriage of Miss Anne Frances Grimwade, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roger M. Grimwade od Charlton City, Mass., to David M. Bodine 3d, son of Mr. and Mrs. David M. David M. Bodine III, father of Darien resident Margot B. Congdon, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Mr. Bodine lived on Orr's Island, Maine. He was 79. A son of the late Gladys B. and David M. Bodine Jr., Mr. Bodine was born Nov. 5, 1928 in Trenton, N.J., where he lived most of his life. Mr. Bodine graduated from Trenton High School in 1946 and Princeton University in 1950, and was a member of their respective track teams. Mr. Bodine served in the Army Intelligence Corps during the Korean War. Following his service, he pursued a career in commercial banking, where he served as a trust officer for a number of banks. He retired from Princeton Bank and Trust, now J.P. Morgan Chase, in 1986 to live on Sanibel Island, Fla. He spent every summer at his home on Orr's Island, Maine. Mr. Bodine was a member of the Trenton Country Club, the Beachview Country Club and the Orr's Island Yacht Club. He was an avid sports enthusiast, and will be remembered for his vibrancy, sense of humor and quick wit. Besides his Darien daughter, Margot Congdon and her husband, David, of Darien, Mr. Bodine is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anne G. Bodine of Orr's Island, Maine; another daughter, Carol B. Hurt and her husband, Blake, of Charlottesville, Va.; a son, David M. Bodine IV and his wife, Susan, of Chevy Chase, Md.; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held later in the spring at a date to be announced. Arrangements are under the care of the Brackett Funeral Home, Brunswick, Maine.
