PENN YAN - Dorothy H. Bodine died May 9 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan after a long illness. Family and friends called from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 11 at the Penn Yan United Methodist Church. The funeral was held at 11 a.m. May 11 at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Butler officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan. Memorials may be made to Yates County Public Health or Penn Yan Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Dorothy was born in the town of Starkey on May 31, 1923 to Griffin and Mae Walton. She leaves behind her loving children, sons Daryl, her special caretaker and Bud (Sue) Bodine; daughters Donna (Gary) Treat and Carla (Gary) Milhurn; nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She also leavers her loving, caring nurses and aides from Yates County Public Health Nursing Service. She joins her loving husband of 63 years, Charles Bodine Sr. She was also predeceased by her brother Howard and sister Clara.
Charles and Dorothy Bodine are buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Penn Yan, Yates County, New York.
