On 12 Sept 1918, Amsa Horton Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Schuyler County, New York. He stated he was born 19 July 1900, was a self-employed farmer, and that Mrs. Lenora Bodine, of Schuyler, New York, his mother, is his next of kin. Luella (Dolloway) Bodine was the daughter of Charles and Mattie Dolloway. Amsa and Luella Bodine were buried in Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, Polk County, Florida.

Amsa Bodine, 21, farmer, born in Prattsburg, NY, son of James Bodine & Lenora Bardeen AND Luella Dolloway, 21, born Mecklenburg, NY, daughter of Charles Dolloway & Elizabeth McClure, were married 21 Aug 1920 in Bellona.
