BODINE, LAVEDA L. -- Private services for Laveda L. Bodine, 64, of Clovis were held by Boice Funeral Home. Ms. Bodine, a homemaker, died Saturday. Remembrances may be sent to Hinds Hospice, 1616 W. Shaw Ave., Suite C-1, Fresno, CA 93711.

J.D. Liles, a native and lifelong resident of Fresno, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the age of 74 following a long battle with heart disease. J.D. had a career spanning 45 years in all phases of construction, retiring from Interior Contractors in management in 1986. A cowboy at heart, J.D. also managed a cattle ranch in Elko, Nv. which also enabled him to practice his skills as a cattle roper, participating in team roping over the years. A motorcycle enthusiast and mechanic, he enjoyed his membership in the Gold Wing Touring Club, and their many road trips. J.D. was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Macie Liles; and his brothers, Sherman and Carl. He is survived by Carole Catlin Liles, his wife of 37 years; his children, Jay Liles of Washington, Rodney Liles of Fresno, Danette Gillespie of Clovis, step-daughter, Kim Radish of Hollister; and his step-son, Pete Radish of Prescott Az.; his brother, Ralph Liles and his wife Linda, of Oklahoma; his sister, Jewel Moore and her husband Gene, of Selma; and his sister-in-law, Bernice Liles, of Fresno. He is the grandfather of Taylor, Nick, Sean, Amy, and Jason; and the great-grandfather of Bobby and Samantha. A Graveside Service will be held at Clovis Cemetery, on Monday, December 3, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Remebrances may be made to donor's favorite charity.
