Mary Lou Bodine 1913 - 2004
Mary Lou Bodine, 72, 801 9th Ave. NE, Minot, died Monday, July 5, 2004 at her home in Minot. Mary Lou was born on April 18, 1932, in Minot, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Bergstad) Bodine. She grew up on the family farm and attended grade school in Bergen and the last two years of High School at St. Leo's High School, graduating from there in 1950. She taught in a rural school near Bergan for a time before moving to Minot where she worked for a grain elevator company for a few years before moving to California for one year. She then moved to Denver where she worked for General Rose Hospital for five years. She then moved back to Minot where she has lived ever since. Mary Lou was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Minot. She is survived by her sister, Carole Bodine, Minot; brother-in-law, Walter Degenstein, Bergen, a nephew who was raised like a brother, Charles Bodine, Castle Rock, CO. and an aunt, Agnes Berge, of Minot. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Her father, mother, brother, James Bodine, and sisters, Lorrayne Degenstein and Ardella Bodine, preceded her in death Graveside Service: Bergen Cemetery, Bergen, North Dakota on Friday, July 9, 2004 at 2 p.m. There will be no reviewal but friends may sign a register on Thursday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
