Notes for: Nathaniel Burdine
The following comes from the SC genealogy Internet site:
He and his wife moved to Wilkes County, North Carolina, then toNewberry County, South Carolina with his brother Samuel. The later moved to Abbeville County, South Carolina. He is not on the 1810 South Carolina Census because they moved to Tennessee. On Dec. 2, 1811, they deeded 370 acres of land to Joseph Culpeper in Smith County, TN.
1790 U.S. Census, 96 Dist., Newberry County, South Carolina: Nathan Burdine as head of house, 2 males 16+, 2 males under 16, and 7 females.
1800 U.S. Census, Abbeville Dist., South Carolina: Nathaniel Burdine head of house, one male age 45 and over, 2 males age 16-26, one female age 45 and over, 3 females age 10-16, and one female age 16-26.
From court record February Term 1796, summoned to serve on jury nextterm.
1 Dec 1802: Nathaniel Burdine was one of the administrators of the estate of William Lipscomb.
Nathaniel married Ann Eddins, daughter of Abraham Eddins and Catherine Towles. Ann was born in VA.
