In 1910, Samuel Bodine, age 53 and single, was living in Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, with his widowed mother and brother Harry. He worked as a laborer at odd jobs. In 1920, Samuel Bodine, age 66 and single, was living with his brother Harry in Jersey Shore. In April 1930, Samuel Bodine, age 76, was living there alone. He never married. Samuel Bodine was buried in Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County. For a photograph of his grave marker see Find A Grave Memorial # 81704530.

Jersey Shore--Dr. Samuel Bodine, who celebrated his 83rd birthday anniversary May 8, died at the Sanford Hospital Friday evening following an illness of two months. With the exception of ten years at Pethole City and Titusville, Dr. Bodine spent his entire life in Jersey Shore. He was a dentist but did not practice. Well known throughout the territory, he often gave interesting reminiscences of the early days of Jersey Shore. He had no near relatives. Funeral services were conducted this afternoon. Burial was made in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
