THOMSON, GEORGE DUDLEY HAMBURG TWP, MI. Age 62, died at home after long illness. George was born the son of Keith and Alice (Gibson) Thomson. He is survived by his former wife Judy, and their children, Kelly, Eric, and Heidi Thomson, two grandchildren, Sarah Thomson and Garrett Helle, three brothers, Robert, Charles & Gordon, and dear friend Judy Trombly. George is preceded in death by his parents and brother James. George served in the U.S. Army, traveling throughout Europe during that period. George worked many years for University of Michigan. He was an avid hunter and golfer, served on the Hamburg Fire Department for many years and was a longtime member of the Livingston County Wildlife and Conservation Club. A Celebration of George's life will be held at 5pm, Monday, October 28, 2002 at the Bell-Borek Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. with Rev. Carl F. Welser officiating. Judith Kay Thomson, age 75 of Lambertville, passed away peacefully at home while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. A Lambertville resident for the past nine years, Judy had been long time resident of the Howell area. Now retired, she had been employed as a certified nurses aide for several nursing homes in Livingston County. Judy had also served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Hamburg Fire Department and loved to travel. Surviving are her loving children, Kelly Thomson of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Eric Thomson of Lambertville and Heidi Thomson of Lambertville. Also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah (Josh Blowers) Thomson and Garrett Helle; brother, John (Laura) Bodine of Bradenton, Florida and her little girl, her dog, Lilly. Memorial service Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at MacDonalds Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800).
