ARLINGTON -- Lorraine "Sally" Pauline Bodine, 75, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers or plants, the family asks that donations be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association. Lorraine was born in Galveston on Feb. 28, 1928, and graduated from La Marque High School. Lorraine was married since October 17, 1948, to Ray Bodine and together they had three loving children. Through many accomplishments in her life, Lorraine also had completed several business courses and earned an insurance agent license. She loved to work, including working as an accountant for over 50 years. Lorraine also loved animals, children, music, home improvement projects, reading and gardening. Everyone knew her as the most proud, practical, kind, generous, free-thinking, vivacious, self-taught go-getter who will be missed by all who knew her. Her strength, wisdom and innovative thinking along with her kind heart and generosity made living in this world a much better place. She was very proud of her family and especially of her two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her twin son, Gary Lynn Bodine; her brother, Thomas Ober; and her parents. Survivors: Husband of over 54 years, Bernie Ray Bodine; son, Larry Ray Bodine and his wife, Mary; and daughter, Cindy Bodine Marr and her husband, Kent, along with their two daughters, Lauren Kelsey and Megan Shey.
