Maymie Louise Bodine Walters passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the age of 92. Everyone who knew and loved her knew her as Mama Eze or Aunt Eze. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Park. The family will host a reception immediately following at the home of Ronnie and Marcia Walters. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Donate Life Texas or Cook Children's Medical Center. Louise was born in Richland Springs on Aug. 25, 1920. She married G.C. Walters on Oct. 18, 1947, and they were happily married for 39 years. She worked at General Dynamics for eight years. Afterwards, she and her good friend Lela Egger ran the print shop at All Saints Hospital until her retirement 22 years later. She continued to be a member of Eastern Star until her passing. We all loved her cooking and she cooked family meals every Sunday. She adored anything that involved her great-grandchildren. She was also an avid TCU and Dallas Cowboys fan! Louise was preceded in death by her husband, G.C. Walters; her mother, Katie Bodine "Mama Kate"; father, Jessie Bodine; three sisters, Doris, Jean and Jena Bess; and brother, Clyde. Survivors: Louise is lovingly remembered by her son, Ronnie Walters of Aledo and wife, Marcia; grandchildren, Brett Walters and wife, Tracey, Marianne Gibson and husband, Travis; great-grandchildren, Blake and Ellie Kate Walters, Ty and Cole Gibson; and many other nieces and nephews.
