William E. Bodine, 24, of Springfield, Greene County AND Mabel E. Bateman, 24, of Los Angeles, Calif. were married 16 Aug 1919 in Greene County.

On 5 June 1917, William Earl Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri. He reported he was born 2 April 1895 in Springfield, worked as an engineer and was single. In Jan 1920, William and Edna Bodine lived with William's parents in Springfield and where he worked as a salesman for an iron works. In April 1930 he lived in Johnson, Polk County, Missouri working in the ice plant business.

Humansville---W. E. Bodine, 70, Humansville, died at 8 p.m. Thursday in Springfield Baptist Hospital where he had undergone surgery that day. Born in Springfield, Mr. Bodine attended Senior High School where he was a well-known basketball player. A resident of Humansville for 45 years, he was a former mayor of Humansville and retired owner of Monarch Feed Company. Mr. Bodine was a member of the Humansville Methodist Church, past master of Bolivar Chapter 5 of RAM, St. Elmo Commandery 43 KT of Bolivar Shrine in Springfield, and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Edna; a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie M. Thomas, Seattle, Wash.; three brothers, Perry, Springfield, John, Kirkwood, and the Rev. Robert Bodine, Detroit, Mich.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Tillery Chapel here with the Rev. Mercer A. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Humansville Cemetery.

Edna M. Bodine, of Seattle, King County, died 29 June 1991 in Snohomish County, aged 96 years.

Humansville--Graveside services for Edna M. Bodine, Seattle, Wash., formerly of Humansville, will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Humansville Cemetery under direction of Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Bodine, a homemaker, died at 7:50 p.m. Saturday, June 29, in Eastern Star Nursing Home, Bothell, Wash.
