Mrs. Gertrude Alice Kline, 87, died at Fort Dodge, Kas., at 5:50 p.m. Friday after a long illness. Her home here was at 524 N. Summit St., She had been a resident of this city 36 years. She was born Aug. 8, 1867, at Paris, Ill., the daughter of Eli and Mary Bodine. She came to Kansas in 1911 from Terre Haute, Ind. She was married May 22, 1895 at Clinton, Ind., to Henry Elonzo Kline who survives. Other survivors are sons, Claude E. Kline, 524 N. Summit St., Clarence F, Kline, Southgate, Calif., and Clyde E. Kline, Brancon, Mo.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. One daughter, Mary Mabel Sparks, died in 1920. Services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at the Oldyoyd-Erdman chapel with William Charmack, minister of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery. Oldroyd-Erdman funeral directors are in charge.

Henry Elonzo Kline, 83, died early Monday at his home, 803 N. Fourth St. He had been a resident of Arkansas City 39 years, coming from Terre Haute, Ind. He was a barber and at one time owned and operated the Crystal barber shop. He was born Sept. 25, 1871, at Charleston, W. Va., and was married at Paris, Ill., May 22, 1895 to Gertrude Alice Bodine who died three weeks ago, June 3, 1955. Survivors are three sons, Claude E. Kline, 524 N. Summit St., Clarence F, Kline, South Gate, Calif., and Clyde E. Kline, Brancon, Mo.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Sparks; one sister, Miss Anna Kline; three brothers, George, Elmer and Herman Kline. Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Jess Rindt chapel with the Rev. Don Swaim officiating. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery. Jess Rind mort...[nothing further.]
