He was recorded in the 1930 census as Vernon Bodine. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for Agway in Mount Holly for over 43 years. He was buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport, Burlington County.

LaVerne F. "Bernie" Bodine of Eastampton, passed away Jan 9, 2003 at his home. He was 73. Born in Mt Holly, NJ, he was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for Agway in Mt Holly for over 43 years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary (Yacono) Bodine; and by his daughter Debra Kolo of Mt Holly. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Bernadette and Canella; and by his sister Gertrude Griffith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Mon Jan 13 11am at Perinchief Chapels, Mt Holly. Friends may call Sun 7-9pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hainesport.

MARY J. BODINE June 2,1932-April 19,2022
Mary J. (Yacono) Bodine of Eastampton passed away peacefully at the age of 89. A lifelong resident born in Westampton, Mary was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Angiolina (Matarese) Yacono. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was an avid gardener who worked as a seamstress in the garment industry. The wife of the late LaVerne, Mary is survived by her daughter Debbie Bodine and grandchildren Bernadette Kolo, Canella Kumke and her husband Steve. She is also survived by her brother Nick DiStefano and many nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her siblings Esther Carter, John Yacono, Josephine Rouse, Joe Yacono, Mike Yacono, & Dolly Worrell. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mount Holly. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10am - 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
