Notes for: Sarah ("Sallie") Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

In 1870, Sarah Bodine, age 16, was living with and working as a domestic servant for Bryce and Ester Allen of Doylestown Township. In 1880, George and Sallie Slack were living in Wrightstown Township where George worked as a miller and in 1900 in Philadelphia where he worked as a grocer. In 1900, the couple reported that in 23 years of marriage Sallie had borne 2 children, both then living. This is incorrect as Watson was born in 1878 and seems to have died before 1900, leaving Jennie and Gertrude. In 1920, George and Sallie Slack were living in Philadelphia with the daughter and son-in-law gertrude and Harry Thompson. See their obituaries in the "Bucks County Intelligencer" of 10 March 1921 and 3 Nov 1927.

Children: Watson W. (1878), Jennie V. (1878), L. Gertrude (Nov 1879).
