Notes for: Robert Alvin Bodine, Sr.
Ronny Bodine said, "Robert never appears with his father in any census. Charles was living with Frank in 1910, but not Robert. Can't find Robert in 1920, but in 1930 he is married to Laura. I looked at every Robert in Warren County, whether Bodine or Smith or whatever, but he was not there."
Ronny later wrote, "For whatever reason, Frank and Bertha's son, Robert, appears in no census under the name Robert Bodine, perhaps taken in by other family members and recorded under another name. On 11 Nov 2009, Robert A. Bodine, 79, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, in a telephone conversation with Ronny Bodine, confirmed his grandfather was Frank Bodine. He did not recall his grandmother as Bertha, but did recall Edna Bodine as the wife of Frank and that Charles Bodine was his uncle."
