Notes for: Catherine Sigmond ("Aunt Cottie") Bodine

I had her middle initial as "E", but that appears to be incorrect. Deborah Thomas was not sure of the spelling of her middle name, but from a page of a family Bible she has a photocopy of, the name appears to be Sigmond.

James H. Osborne died 29 Oct 1926 in Tuxedo, Orange County.

Obituary, The Rockland County Journal-News (Nyack, NY) of Monday, 16 Dec 1957.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two o'clock at the Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, Suffern, for Mrs. Catherine S. Osborne, 79, of 36 Wayne Avenue, Suffern, who died Friday night in Good Samaritan Hospital from severe burns, received when grease in a frying pan ignited and flared up. The flames ignited a plastic apron she was wearing. Mrs. Osborne beat out the flames herself. The services today will be conducted by the Rev. Merritt Webb. Interment will be in Upper Saddle River Cemetery. Mrs. Osborne was born in Pennsylvania and had lived in Suffern for the past 27 years. She is survived by two stepchildren, Mrs. Ira Martin and Reginald Osborne of Tallman.
