PARRIS ISLAND, S.C.--Mrs. Jeanne Bodine, 44, died Wednesday at her home in Parris Island. She was born Nov. 17, 1932 in Denver, Colo., the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert N. (Miriam Culton) Swezey. Mrs. Bodine was raised in Andover, Ohio, and was graduated in 1950 from Andover High School. She was a member of Floral Chapter 54, Order of Easter Star, in Andover. She is survived by her husband, Capt. Theodore Bodine Jr., USN, who is stationed at Parris Island; three daughters, Mrs. Michele McCormick of Beaufort, S.C., Mrs. Michael (Nicole) Byrd of Barscow, Calif., and Mrs. Jacqueline Hitt of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. D. M. (Carole) Glowe of Warren Ohio, Mrs. D.C. (Rosalind) Moulder of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Mrs. Ralph (Cynthia) Dick of Andover; four grandchildren; and her grandmother, Mrs. J. W. Culton of Denver. Memorial services will be this weekend. Burial will be in Florida. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Bodine's memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

Capt. Theodore A. Bodine Jr., 64, of Holt, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 1993, peacefully at home. Capt. Bodine was born March 29, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a graduate of Case Western Reserve Dental School and retired as a Captain from the U.S. Navy Dental Corps., Sept. 30, 1984, after 28 years of service. After retirement, he moved to the Yellow River Valley in the Holt area, where he resided for eight years. He was past president of The Retired Officers Association, Bob Sikes Chapter, a member of American Legion Post No. 78, a volunteer at the Whiting Retired Officers Affairs Office and a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church. Capt. Bodine was a poet and an artist and friend to many. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Dahlstrom Bodine of Holt; four daughters, Bonnie Bodine of Holt, Nicole Byrd of Kansas City, Mo., Shelly Beeva of Columbus, Ohio, and Jacqueline Bowerfind of Marietta, Ga.; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Bodine of Fort Walton Beach; and an uncle, Ralph King of Fort Myers. Funeral services will be at 10:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Barrancas National Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made ro either the American Cancer Society or the Nature Conservancy Fund. Aultman Funeral Home, 492 E. Pine Ave., Crestview, is in charge of arrangements.
