CLYDE - Leonard Bodine, 80, of Clyde died Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2014 at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt McGowen and Rev. Mark Searcy officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the funeral home. Mr. Bodine was born November 26, 1934 in Elmdale, Texas to William Elbert and Viola (Calhoun) Bodine. He was a lifelong resident of Taylor and Callahan counties, graduating from Cross Plains High School. Mr. Bodine married Ora "Tiny" Hughes June 10, 1955 at the Blake Baptist Church in Brown County. They moved to Clyde from Elmdale in 1958 where he was a farmer/rancher and owned B&W Oilfield Equipment Inc. for 23 years. He was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church. Mr. Bodine is survived by his wife Ora "Tiny" of Clyde; three children, Francis Frost and husband Dr. Randall Frost of Boerne, Kenny Bodine of Clyde and Vicki Searcy and husband Rev. Mark Searcy of Clyde; one brother J.B. Bodine and wife Trudy of Granbury; one sister, Linda Oden and husband Alfred of Post; six grandchildren, Kimberly Coates, Kody Bodine, Daniel Searcy, Joseph Searcy, Matthew Frost and Andrew Searcy; six great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Ronald Glen Bodine.
