Lois Marie Bodine Carter, 82, of Warrenton, died peacefully at home on May 1, 2016. She was born in New York, NY on August 12, 1933, a daughter of Russell and Caroline Bodine. Mrs. Carter retired from Marriott Corporation and later worked for many years at Hayworth Nursery. She loved the outdoors and being very active. She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Carter Sr.; son, Wayne Lee Carter; daughter, Lois Price; siblings, Charles, Raymond and Joanne Bodine and Joyce Olsen. She leaves four children and their spouses; William C. Carter Jr. and his wife, Cheryl of Warrenton, Phyllis Ann Carter of Warrenton, Paul Carter and his wife, Debbie of Marshall and Brenda Carter Wines and her husband, Mike of Warrenton. She was the sister of Judy Hicks of Long Island, NY, Carolyn Hopkins (Keith) of Statesville, NC, Carolann Friscia (Tom) of Deer Park, NY and Gloria Campbell (late husband Muriel) of Warrenton. She was the proud grandmother of eighteen and great-grandmother of forty-two. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 5 at 11 AM at Moser Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Lawson officiating. Interment to follow at Bright View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1833 Plaza Drive, Winchester VA 22601 -
