Subject: Distant relative?
Hello, my name is Elle Mayhew and my Mother's name is Kathleen Mayhew. My Grand Mother was called Constance Gwendoline Allen (formerly Abbot) and was Lydia Joan Bodine's (formerly Abbot) sister.
I came across one of your posts online about Lawrence who married Lydia and I wondered if we might be related?
I already managed to connect with a relative in Oklahoma that I talk to frequently but I'm always on the lookout for more family.
I hope you, and all on your end, are well, Kind regards, Elle.
From Ronny Bodine:
Lawrence and Lydia Bodine were buried in Wanette Cemetery, Pottawatomie County. He was a veteran of World War II having enlisted in Jan 1942 in Oklahoma City in the U.S. Army Air Force. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 305th Bomb Group in Belgium and England during World War II and was a dairyman and farmer in Wanette. See his obituary in the Shawnee "News-Star" of 16 July 1998.
***End of info from Ronny.

Subject: Bodine, Oklahoma
My name is Chantelle Mayhew, I saw an old post of yours on an genelogical website. You had posted a response to a person looking for the Bodine's in Oklahoma.
My mother, Kathleen Ann Allen of Gwen Abott (Allen through marriage) and Ronald Allen, roots in United Kingdom, Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.
I know that my mother's sister, Joan, married Laurence Bodine.
And that they had children, though I don't know all their names. I know there is a John Bodine and a Larry Bodine, and two girls.
I was just wondering if you could possibly help me at all, everytime I think I have found something I draw a dead end.
Thank you for reading this,
-Chantelle
