James and Mary had a farm on McCall Hill. They later sold the farm and bought a house in Walton Village.

Walton---Miss Mary Ellen Kilpatrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Millard Kilpatrick, and James H. Budine, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Forrest Budine also of Walton, were married at the Trout Creek parsonage of the Trout Creek Community Baptist Church. The Rev. Louis Kirlin, pastor, officiated. Ralph Budine, Walton, brother of the groom was best man.

Mary E. Budine, 78, a lifelong resident of Walton passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at home after a long illness. Mary was born April 1, 1933 in Walton, the daughter of the late Millard and Florence (Elderkin) Kilpatrick. On March 16, 1956 she married James H. Budine. Mary was a member of the New Hope Community Church in Walton. She was a Friendly Home Party Dealer for 25 years and a 4-H leader for the Knickerbockers. In her spare time she enjoyed going camping with her family all over especially at Raquet Lake and Bowman Lake. Mary is survived by her three daughters: Sharon Budine, Beatrice Hendrickson, Jayne (Jeffery) Francisco all of Walton; her grandchildren, Yvonne (Corey),Jennifer, Kaity (Justin),Derek, her great grandchildren, Faith, Destiny, Harley, Kirsten, Angelle,her special daughter, Bambi Holtslander, her special friend, Don Boyd,her special caregiver, Connie Crossman, her nurse Cindy Bramley and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mary was predeceased by her husband, James, her son, James Budine, her brothers, Millard “Buck” Kilpatrick, Joseph Kilpatrick, and a sister, Kathleen (Katie) Miller. A graveside service will be held on Monday,February 13, 2012 at 11AM at the Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton with the Rev. Larry Light, officiating. Memorial Contributions in Mary's memory may be made to Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, New York 13820 or New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton, New York 13856.
