Notes for: Cornelius Cozine

Cornelius owned land in Mercer Co., KY in 1790.

Cornelius Cosyne and his uncles, John Couzine and Cornelius Cosine,
Jr., were signers on the Petition to Congress, c1793, in regard to
Kentucky independence.

In 1803 his maternal grandfather left him 200 acres of land at
Drenon's Luckerick in KY. In the 1820 Census a Cornelius Cozine is
listed with a family of 4 males and 3 females. In 1830 a family of 5.

There are about 6 Cornelius Cozines listed in KY papers, court
records, marriages, census, tax list from 1800 to 1830, all of the
descendants of Rev. Cornelius Cosine of Conewago Colony, PA.
