Mr. Bodine was graduate from Dartmouth College class of 1957. He is a grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Quick Stryker and the late Mr. and Mrs. Amplius B. C. Bodine all of Flemington. Flemington--Historic Sand Brook Church of the Brethren was the setting at 11 a.m. Wednesday for the marriage of Miss Elke Rose Zettl, daughter of Mrs. Eleanor Zettl of Germany and the late Mr. Zettl, to Samuel Tony Bodine, son of Mrs. Samuel L. Bodine of rural Flemington and the late Senator Bodine. The Rev. David Pierson, minister of the Sergeantsville and Kingwood Methodist churches, officiated. Bridget Bodine, the bridegroom's daughter, was flower girl. Mitch Bodine, the bridegroom's son was an usher.

S. Tony Bodine died Monday, April 22, 1985, at his home in Brielle. He was 51. According to the death certificate, death was by self-inflicted gunshot wound. Born in East Orange, he was the son of the late Senator Samuel L. Bodine, who represented Hunterdon in the state legislature, and Ida Stryker Bodine. He lived in Flemington before moving to Brielle eight years ago. He had been a salesman for Woodhaven Lumber Co., Point Pleasant Beach, for seven years. He was a 1957 graduate of Dartmouth College, and a member of Thousand Fathom Fishing Club, Point Pleasant. Surviving are a son, S. Mitchell Bodine of Brielle, and a daughter, Bridget Bodine of Cape May. Services were private under the direction of the Robert C. Neary Funeral Home, Manasquan
