On 12 Sept 1918 in Hunterdon County, Edgar Kugler Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft. He reported he was employed as a packer for the Lambertville Rubber Company and that his next of kin was his mother, Mrs. Emma W. Bodine.

STOCKTON, N.J. Dec. 27.---Edgar K. Bodine, 23 years old, son of Mrs. Emma W. and the late Wesley B. Bodine, who died Sunday, following a long illness, will be buried tomorrow afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, from his mother's home, near here. The Rev. Dr. William H. Woolverton will conduct the services. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, under the direction of Green. Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers, Russell C. Bodine of Phillipsburg, N.J. and Frank W. Bodine, and two sisters, Alice C. Bodine and M. Gladys Bodine, a student at the New Jersey State Normal School at Trenton.
