Her name is Estelle in the 1860 Census. Her middle initial in the 1870 Census was either "L" or "S." Her name is Estella in the 1880 Census.

David Hunter was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Vienna Township, Genesee County. The Hunter family lived 1900-1910 in Taymouth, Saginaw County, Michigan; 1920 in Flint, Genesee County, Michigan and 1930 in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.

David M. Hunter died in his apartments in the Hamilton Square building Monday night at 9:15 o'clock of heart trouble. He had been in ill health for more than a year. Mr. Hunter lived in Burt for about 25 years prior to his coming to Saginaw five years ago. Upon coming here he purchased the Hamilton Square building which he has since owned. David M. Hunter was born March 9, 1858 in Lambton county, Ontario. In 1885 he was married to Miss Stella Bodine of Clio. Fraternally, he was a Mason, a Maccabee, and a Gleaner. Surviving are his wife, three daughters and two sisters, Mrs. H. A. Amerman, of Cranbrook, B. C., Miss Hazel Hunter and Mrs. E. A. Held of Saginaw; Mrs. Nancy Shepherd of St. Mary's, Ont., and Miss Elizabeth Hunter of this city.
