Hi Dave,

I have been reading and enjoying your wonderful Bodine for quite a long time. You have assembled quite a work of art and one which holds very valuable information for many people. Thank you for all your fine efforts.

Even though I have not yet found information connecting my Bodine ancester to your names, I feel there is a connection. My ggggrandmother was Arminda Bodine. She was born Dec. 2, 1799 and died April 14, 1860 and is buried in Larson's Corner (Amwell Ridge) Cemetery, Hunterdon Co., NJ. Arminda married Lambert Busenbury who was born Feb. 11, 1798 and died March 14, 1872, also buried in Larson's Corner Cemetery. Arminda and Lambert lived in Copper Hill, Raritan Twp. They were the parents of 4 children, Elizabeth, Thomas T, Christiana and John. I believe Christiana and John were named after their Busenbury grand or greatgrandparents. I have no knowledge of where the names Elizabeth and Thomas T. could have come from (perhaps the Bodine line).

When I saw your listing for Lambert Bozenbury Bodine, I was very curious and had to think that he was named after my Lambert Busenbury. The last name has numerous spellings, but the family is the same.I have seen my ggggrandfather's name spelled with an o, as well.

Since there was only one Lambert Busenbury, I feel your Lambert Bozenbury Bodine had to have been named after him, particularily because of the Bodine/Busenbury connection in my family. I see your Lambert's father was John H. Bodine and John's father was Jacob Bodine and then you were unable to go locate Jacob's father. Jacob and my ggggrandmother could have been brother and sister judging by the birth dates of each. I am just speculating on this, but I feel it could well be the case and wanted to share my thoughts with you in case you come across any additional information. I will keep you informed of any new information I come across. I have not yet sent for a death certificate for Arminda but am hopeful her parents' names might be on one. If I can make a connection, I will have additional information to share with you on Arminda and Lambert's family.

Again, thanks for all your efforts in assembling the Bodine Genealogy and making it available to other Bodine genealogists.

Best regards,
Ginny Kichline
