Mrs. Gilbert J. Johnson of 426 Spooner Ave. died today (July 12, 1948) in Muhlenberg Hospital, after a short illness. Born in Quakertown, Mrs. Johnson was the former Pauline Frances Bodine. She had resided in Plainfield for 40 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Charles F. Johnson of the Spooner Ave. address and Stamford, Conn.; two daughters, Miss Eleanor P. Johnson and Mrs. Andrew M. Danyo, both at home; one brother, John R. Bodine of Everettstown; one sister, Mrs. Alfred F. Osmun of Whitehouse; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Memorial Funeral Home at a time to be announced later.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Memorial Funeral Home for Gilbert J. Johnson, 70, of 426 Spooner Ave., who died yesterday in Muhlenberg Hospital. The Rev. Harry J. McKinnon, pastor of the Union Village Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery, North Plainfield. Local 167, International Association of Machinists, of which Mr. Johnson was a member, will hold services at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mr. Johnson was born in Plainfield, son of the late Charles and Mary Johnson. He was employed at the Wood Newspaper Machinery Corp. and was the husband of the late Mrs. Pauline F. Bodine Johnson. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Eleanor P. Johnson and Mrs. Andrew M. Danyo, at home; a son, Charles F. of Massapequa, L. I.; a sister, Miss Helen Johnson, and four grandchildren.
