George E. Bodine, 93, of Flint, and formerly of Battle Creek, died Tuesday McLaren General Hospital.

He was born in Battle Creek and operated the former Bodine Brothers Cleaners in Battle Creek with his brother Floyd, from 1915 to 1927. He later moved to Grand Rapids, where he also operated a dry cleaning business. He retired in 1958.

He was a member of the Elks Club in Battle Creek. He was a member of the Michigan Dry Cleaners Association and the National Dry Cleaners Association.

His wife, the former Suzette Weill, died in 1960.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Roberta) Dykstra of Flint and Mrs. Wiliam (Georgia) Spears of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Arrangements are by Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, Flint. Memorial donations may be made to Flint First Presbyterian Church.

Living in 3rd Ward, Block 1845, Grand Rapids City, Kent County, Michigan, 2336 Everest Avenue, with his wife Suzette (age 37) and their children Georgia (age 13) and Roberta (age 10). George owns his house, valued at $7,000. He does not own a radio set, and it is not a farm. He was 28 when he was first married. He has not attended school or college since September 1, 1929. He can read and write, and speaks English. His occupation is dying in a dye works. He is the owner and is actually employed. George was not veteran; age 42.
