C. A. Bodine AND M. Ethelyne Colby were married 1 June 1916. [Note: As Charles Bodine and the Colbys were all residents of Oklahoma City, that is likely where they married.]
Charlie Bodine, age 17, lived 1910 with his mother in Oklahoma City where he worked as a clerk in a candy store. On 5 June 1917, Charles Augustus Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Oklahoma City. He reported he was married, had one child and worked as a window decorator for S. H. Kress & Co. In 1920, Charles, Ethelyn and their son Philip, lived in the home of Ethelyn's mother Florence Coley [sic-Colby] in Oklahoma City.
On 22 Aug 1925 in Elkus, Canadian County, Oklahoma, Myrtle Ethelyn Bodine married Louis F. Pfotenhauer with whom she was living in April 1930 in Oklahoma City with her 12-year old son Philip Bodine.

[Note: Estelle Hightower, daughter of John Walter and Margaret Cornelia (Dodson) Hightower, was married 1stly to Camden Marion Sprayberry (1886-1921).]
In 1930, Charles Bodine lived with his 2nd wife, Estelle, in Miami, Dade County, Florida where he worked as a real estate speculator.

In 1944, the Miami City Directory shows Charles A. Bodine now with wife Lula E. and through 1949.
Florida Divorce Records list Charles Augustus Bodine and Lula Bodine divorced in 1951 in Dade County. [Note: After their divorce, Lula apparently resumed her former married name of Bishop. The Knoxville News-Sentinel of 12 Nov 1939 reported the death of J. A. Bishop in Miami, Florida on 5 Nov and that he was survived by his widow, the former Miss Lula E. Dawson of Powell's.]
