Leonard H. Spafford died 6 June 1913 in Owasco, Cayuga County.

L. Howard Spafford died last evening in the town of Owasco after a brief illness of pneumonia, aged 30 years. The deceased passed away in the homestead in which he was born. Besides his wife, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Spafford of Auburn and one brother, Walter Spafford, also of this city, and one daughter, Miss Evelyn Spafford. The funeral will be held from the Owasco Church Tuesday at 2 o'clock and burial will be in the Owasco Rural Cemetery.

Funeral service, for Mrs. Mabel B. Spafford of 5 Grant Avenue, widow of Howard Spafford, who died in Moline, Ill., Saturday, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday at the Glenn F. Mosher Funeral Home, 93 East Genesee Street, Auburn. Rev. Warren G. Odom pastor of First Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Owasco Rural Cemetery. Mrs Spafford was visiting her daughter, Mrs. Alan Page, in Moline when taken ill. Also surviving is a sister, Miss. Florence Bodine of Auburn, and a brother, Howard Bodine of Owasco, and two grandchildren. Mrs. Spafford was an active member of First Methodist Church in Auburn. Mrs. Spafford's body will arrive in Auburn on Tuesday and friends have been invited to call at the Mosher Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
