Everette Bodine was buried in Wanette Cemetery, Pottawatomie County. His gravestone there bears the inscription "Okla, S-Sgt, Btry A, 158 Fld Arty Bn, WW II" He had enlisted in Jan 1941 in Oklahoma City. Velda (Bourassa) Bodine was the daughter of Earving Wesley and Annie V. (Laughton) Bourassa. Following the death of Everette Bodine she married Thomas Marion Webb (1922-2002).

Lazelle Webb, 88, of Wanette, passed away, Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at her home. She was born Sept. 19, 1922, to E.W. and Annie (Laughlin) Bourassa in Wanette. Lazelle was raised in the Wanette area and was a 1939 graduate of Wanette High School. After graduating, she attended Oklahoma A & M. She moved to California during WWII and worked in the ship yards. Following the war, she returned to the Wanette area and has since lived. She married Everette Bodine, who preceded her in death, and later married Tom Webb, who preceded her in death. Lazelle worked in nursing as a PA3 at Central State Hospital, retiring in 1977. She was a Potawatomi Tribal member. Lazelle enjoyed traveling and knitting. She loved making afghans for friends and family. Lazelle was preceded in death by two husbands; her parents; one daughter, Sue Bodine; one brother, Dahl Bourassa; and one sister, Lucille Lewis. She is survived by son, David Bodine of Wanette; step-daughter, Rita Carol and Tom Sawyer; sister, Eva Smith, Pine Grove, Calif.; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Jerry and Mabel Bourassa of Wanette and Jobyna Bourassa of Woodward; grandchildren, Julie and Steve Cowden, Chris and Deena McCain; four great-grandchildren; and many friends and family. The family has designated Wanette Fire Department or Wanette Cemetery Fund as appropriate for memorials. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16. Casket will remain open until service time. Service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Wanette Cemetery Chapel with Karen McCullar of Hospice officiating.
